Swedish Exhibition 4 – Diffuser with Home Made Lavender Oil
Place lavender-flowers in a clean, preferably sterilised glass jar, and pour some fine cooking oil, like rapeseed oil, over so it just covers the flowers. Put the lid on and leave it for a few days. Filter the oil and pour it into a clean bottle.
Lavender is sometimes called “the soul of Provance”, where the big, purple fields sometimes seem to stretch on forever. The name, lavender, comes from the Latin verb “lavare” – to wash, to clean. This plant has been used by people of the Mediterranean, the Middle East and India for a long time.
