What is a Quiz Walk?

1. A walk that leads to a strange place.
2. Something you do when you lost a bet.
3. A walk with questions to answer, on your own or as a part of a team.

A form of competition that seems to have started in the 1970s. You (or your team) walk a predetermined course at your own pace and answer questions on an answer sheet, posted along the way. For each question there are three given answer options marked with “1”, “X” and “2”. 

Quiz walks are hugely popular in Sweden and can be held indoors as well as outdoors.

People in all countries play, go for walks and ask questions, but the Quiz walk seems to be very Swedish. The wikipedia page about quiz walks only exists in Swedish – but now, maybe that will change?

There are Treasure hunts, Themed walks and Nature walks all over Europe. Another relative is Walk and talk, where participants talk about a certain topic during a stroll. This is often used in non-formal learning.
