Pharmaceuticals are found in surface and groundwater across Europe. Awareness has grown of the possible risks from pharmaceuticals in the environment, being a risk to fish and other wildlife, for example by affecting their ability to reproduce. However, take-back systems exist in all EU-courtiers, so we all now know what to do!
